I use cookies on my website. By using my website you agree to this cookie policy and you consent to the use of cookies in accordance with the terms of this policy.

What are cookies and why does this site use them?

Cookies are small text files that are created and stored on your browser or the hard drive of your computer by websites that you visit to enable the website to 'remember' who you are and to monitor website traffic. Cookies are generally only visible to the website that serves them and not to other websites.

Cookies are used on this website to 'remember' information so that it can be passed from page to page and to collect website statistics. This statistical data collected may be used to help improve this website, but it is not used to identify you.

How to manage cookies

Most internet browsers accept cookies automatically. However, you can accept, delete or disable cookies if you wish - the process for doing so can usually be found in your internet browser's 'Help' or 'Settings' menu. For more information about cookies and instructions on how to adjust your browsers settings to accept, delete or reject cookies, see the IAB website. Click here for the relevant page for adjusting your browser settings.

If you disable cookies then, whilst you may be able to browse all of my website, some of the cookies I use may be essential for the website to operate and some features may, therefore, not be available to you. Unless you have adjusted your browser settings so that it will refuse cookies, the website issue cookies as soon as you visit it.

If you register with me or if you continue to use my website, you agree to my use of cookies.

The law changes often. That means the content in this site can become outdated quickly. I can't guarantee that anything on this site is up to date, accurate or complete. I generally do not go back and delete outdated content or my mistakes on the site. DO NOT take take any action based solely on the content in this site. Seek independent legal advice, from someone other than me. I am not your lawyer.

The views expressed on this website are my personal views. They do not represent (nor are they intended to represent) the positions, opinions or policies of my employer or any of its affiliates or any other company or person.

I am not always impartial and I won't always dig deep into the facts. If you disagree with what I said or feel I made a mistake, then make a comment with your thoughts. Feel free to leave comments. Please be polite and reasonable in your comments. I won't moderate them unless they are offensive or libelous (in which case I'll delete them).

The sites I link to through hyperlinks in the site are not under my control. They interested me at the time I added the hyperlink, but may have since changed. I do not necessarily agree with what is said on the other end of that hyperlink.

That is lot of disclaimers. I am lawyer. It's in my blood. But I do not want us to have any misunderstanding.

Hat tip to Doug Cornelius at Compliance Building for this disclaimer - his disclaimer was so good, sensible and reasonable that it was the best template out there.
